An ethical dilemma (#4)

September 27, 2006

What do you think Mary should do? I think that she should ignore them for some time, but it they keep on saying bad words and things like that, go tell the teacher that someone bad is sending inapropiate notes. But if the teacher says something like, “Oh, don’t worry about it. I’m sure it was an accident. Just ignore it. Maybe they will stop it.” Then you go to the principal’s office and confirm that they are doing weird things to her. The principal or the headmaster should have something to do about it or something, like if they find out who is the mean notetaker, the principal or the headmaster should have a reward…

Would you do the same thing? Nope. I would go straight up to my teacher and say positive that someone was giving inapropiate notes to me. If the teacher said something ridiculous, then, I’d show her my notes and claim that they were doing something bad. I wouldn’t wait for another wrong note. :( Go and tell the truth! :)

What do you think would happen to someone in your school who was in Mary’s situation? (I.e. would she get backlash for hooking up with older guys? Would people gossip about her?) If it was someone I knew, and was friends with, I would get thier back and stand up for them nomatter what. If they didn’t believe me, my jaw would drop down like this: kaos-mint41.gif But I would also get really sad… because I didn’t stand up for my friend so much… :( I would rather go to my room and pound my fists on a table and w-a-i-l…kaos-mint04.gif just like this little… blob… of thingymabobers…

How does gossip play a role in your school, in your community? Yes, it plays big time on our school. Everybody has people they hate. Every once in a while, you should gossip, but not like 50 million times a minute… just kidding. Many people like gossiping. It’s like a habit. I gossip. My friends do, my classmates do to. But we don’t just talk about everybody in the school we hate. We talk about why we hate them and what they are doing to us. If you just gossip about no reason, then don’t! sticky_notes.jpgThis sticky notes are are for the notes that you past..

Have you ever been in a situation similar to Mary’s? How was it resolved? Yes, I have been in a situation like Mary before. I was mad at my friend, and wanted to do something that I kept to myself, but I ended up spilling it. I had backstabbed my fried. I thought it wasn’t going to get out, but it did, and I had let my friend down. i could never forgive myself to that. And during the summer, that was the only thing i thought about during the nights. I wondered if she was going to forgive me. I had gotten many emails from her, but I was still scared. But when I invited her to my b-day party, she was all nice and that, so it was like a 50-50 chance of her forgiving me. And after school went by, something happed to my other friend and we had a meeting. And my first friend that i talked about siad that she should trust me or not. but then later, she said that I had given her proof and she forgave me… That was one of my most hapiest moments in my life. :) She is my almost best friend now. We spend lots and lots of time together.chikas_pink08.gif

Why do you think people gossip? Have you ever gossiped about someone? Why do you think you did?  People gossip because it is a habit, i guess… I have gossiped about someone a million times… kaos-mint41.gifI know, it is kind of hard to believe. But it is a habit to each and every one of us. We gossip like we don’t care. But me and my friends have a different kind of gossip, we tell why we hate them and for what reson we hate them. Other wise then that, we don’t gossip! :)

Good person…

September 22, 2006

What happened while we were waiting for our computer teacher, something happened. I’m not sure what happened, because I was busy talking to my friends. I didn’t even know htat my computer teacher showed up. Well, what i was told is a classmate of mine took another classmate’s bags, took it rolled it all the way to our parking lot. The owner of the bag followed, sahouting at them to stop. They didn’t listen. Even the new guy was also part of it… He started yesterday. They got in serious trouble by our computer teacher. We were talked about what happened a few days ago, where 5 high school students were bored and wanted to have fun… But their fun they had was they had killed almost 12 people, or more. These people called this fun… And also… Can a glass of water kill you? no, I don’t think so but a tsunami sure will… Well, that is just like what happened today. “Oh, throwing rocks is getting boring now, lets go do something way better then that, o! i know what to do! Let’s go hijack a car…  oh, Its getting boring now, lets go kill some people, now that would be fun! That isn’t the right thing to do… What id god, is if someone was watching, then do something about it… Don’t just go, uhhhh… someine elase will do it… Just wait and see what happens… haha. Lets just go back to our conversation. That is totally wrong! Sure everyone isn’t perfect, but try to be perfect. Please help people that need your help. Things go wrong every day. There is nothing you can do unless you stand up for it. Think about that, and you can do whatever you can do to help a person. :)

Leadership presentation

September 22, 2006

What we did for the last few weeks in computer is we had to do something on this impress thing.. It was kind of fun. We got to pick our own leaders, our computer teacher said that we had to pick some leaders that were not WAY old like George Washington… (But I did that anyway… :)) Many people did Steve Irwin because he is the youngeset leader… I think… Too bad that he died from a stingray on Sept. 4, 2006… He was a very popular man… Anyway, he was a leader that fought for animals rights. Our computer teacher said that we had to do five, maximum and minimum. My five leaders were 1. George Washington. 2. Abraham Lincoln. 3. Kim Jong II. 4. Paul Revere. 5. William T. Sherman. They aren’t very important to me, but I Just picked out some important leaders. The most common one was George Washington. I couldn’t think of any living leaders right now… My brain wasn’t functioning well… Just kidding. :) I think mine was just the regularly well donr, not like It’s Perfect! Lovely! Or something like that. :) Mine was just regular. I just have dead important leaders. So much for good work! :)

My personality

September 6, 2006

Yesterday on 9-05-06, we went to computer class and took a test on a site call personalitylab.org. The test was about yourself and how much you know about you. We had a hundred and twelve questions, and we had to answer them, all! haha. Well, after i took the test, i immediatly got a feed back from it. From a score 0-100, for my extraversion, i got a 39 out of 100… (And my teacher says that if you get 50 or lower, you have to improve…. but if you get 50 or over, you are perfectly fine.) He said that this doesn’t really matter because it was a test about how much you know yourself. And for my agreeableness, I got a 71 out of 100. :) Also for my conscietiousness, I got a 42 out of 100. For my neuroticism, I got a 48 out of 100. And for the last one, finally, openess to experience, I got a 46 out of 100.

Should students be allowed to bring cell phones to school?

September 1, 2006

I think yes, becasue if you really need to use the phone, you could just easily take out our phone and call. (But not during class time!) THe rule says that you can bring cell phones, but you must turn them off at or before 8:00 A.M. and you can turn your cell phones on after or at 3:20, which is after school. I think that bringing cell phones to school are O.K. because I’m sure there is a good reason why they bring the cellphones to school. There is also a payphone, but you do have to pay 25 cents or more. i don’t like using my money on things like payphones. Phones come with the prepaid cards, or something like that. They give you around 5 dollars to 50 dollars. (A card for your cell phone.) the cards i think last longer, or not. Mine was with a plane, so I have 700 minutes to spend. also i can call my sister for free! yay!

There is also a bad reason, though… Like last year, my phone got stolen during school by this person. I don’t know who it was, but im pretty sure it was a girl. My old cell phone had cute stickers and nice keychains, but i don’t know why it got stolen. I think around once an year, around 10~20 phones get stolen by someone. This is just a guess, so don’t blame me if i get it wrong. My friends have lost cell phones too, or some one might have stolen them, like my own. Or probably their parents had lost it by using it for a good reason? i don’t know. that is the bad thing about cell phones, because they can get stolen every once in a while. Cell phones are expensive,  so maybe thats why they steal it… But they don’t have the charger~ haha. :) that is my opinion about why should we bring cell phones to school :)

What I did over the summer.

August 14, 2006

What I did over the summer was I went to Korea for one day, then i went on a plane to Singapore, and i made a friend who’s name was Gretchen. She lives in Housten, Texas… I think. Anyway, after that, there were to korean ladies who were the kindest people I have ever met. Ireally enjoyed Singapore, because I actually met my pal who was always my best friend. I think you guys remember her… Her name was Jinah. She was a really nice friend. We had a tour guide for Singapore. The tour guide owned a bus, so we were always in air condition. Then, the day after that, we went to Malaysia and Indonesia. Malaysia, we only went to the zoo. We met lots of cute animals. I really enjoyed the zoo. it was so fun. Then, came my nightmare. i really HATED Indonesia. Our tour guide spoke korean, but was actually indonesian. Now he was freaky. we went to places like where we saw the traditional wedding dance in Indonesia. And there was a dead dog… but they had 2 monkeys and one… Monkey like thing. They also had a little orange cat, which was a very cute one. then, Thanks to God,, it was time to leave Indonesia. We stayed in Singapre, where I swam with dolphins and had plenty of time. Then, I went back to Korea and before i left, i went to Everland, a big place with adventures and roller coasters. (Everland is just like disneyland.) and that was my whole summer. I really enjoyed it. cutelalala
